Iris Estay Moreau

She was the beloved wife of the late Aubrey "Pete" Moreau Sr., companion of Robert Gueno, mother of Marla M. Guidry (husband Avery), Bridget M. Champagne (husband Morris) and the late Aubrey Moreau Jr.; grandmother of Raynee Tregre (husband Dwayne), Brandon Champagne, Amy Moreau and Sara Moreau; great-grandmother of Dakota Benoit, Nicholas Moreau and Dalton Tregre; and daughter of Mathilde G. Estay and the late Albert Estay. She was a native and resident of Luling.
A Mass of Christian burial was held at Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Hahnville on Nov. 2 with interment at St. Charles Cemetery in Luling. In lieu of flowers, the family asks for donations to St. Joseph Hospice, 824 Elmwood Park Blvd., Jefferson, LA 70123 or the American Cancer Society. Falgout Funeral Homes was in charge of arrangements.

Richmond, Waters introduce bill to reform flood insurance - 514 views
Washington, D.C. – Today, Congressman Cedric Richmond (LA-02), along with Congresswoman Maxine Waters (CA-43), introduced The Flood Insurance Implementation Reform Act of 2013. This bipartisan legislation aims to improve the National Flood Insurance Program by ensuring that the implementation of new rates do not burden homeowners or slow the recovery of the nation's housing market.
