Alpha Daughters seek donations for Safe House
The Alpha Daughters of Zion’s Safe House is in need of donations such as money, towels, queen size beddings, paper plates, utensils, toiletries, cleaning supplies and other household essentials.
Monetary donations can be sent to P. O. Box 154, Ama, LA 70031. Other donations can be dropped off at the Alpha Daughters’ Office at 13201 River Road in Luling - next door to the United Way building. For more information, call (985) 308-0819.
The Alpha Daughters’ Safe House is continuously providing a safe haven for women and children of domestic violence, the homeless and women from the penal system.

Washington, D.C. – Today, Congressman Cedric Richmond (LA-02), along with Congresswoman Maxine Waters (CA-43), introduced The Flood Insurance Implementation Reform Act of 2013. This bipartisan legislation aims to improve the National Flood Insurance Program by ensuring that the implementation of new rates do not burden homeowners or slow the recovery of the nation's housing market.
