Filling in for quarterback Easton Melancon, Hahnville senior Ronny Green ran for a 1-yard score and tossed another touchdown to receiver Jaylon Bryant.
Kevin Smith
Destrehan - Positon RB/S
Destrehan senior Kevin Smith was named both the offensive and defensive player of the week for the Wildcats after their 20-26 overtime loss to John Ehret. On offense, Smith was the workhorse for his squad, rushing for 103 yards on 20 carries. Smith also scored on a 14-yard touchdown and racked up even more yards on several nice returns. On defense, Smith was just as impressive. This is the first season that Smith has played on defense during his high school career, and against John Ehret he finished with 15 tackles and a fumble recovery to lead his squad.
James Poree
Hahnville - Position DL
Hahnville defensive lineman James Poree busted through the East St. John line to record 3 1/2 sacks in his team’s 21-27 loss.
