Gibson
Lessie Mae Gibson, 87, passed away on Oct. 15, 2011 at St. Anne General Hospital in Raceland. She is survived by her son, Layton Ladd, two daughters, Lessie Wheeler and Phillis Iverson, four sisters, Chatherine Robinson, Yalonde Harris, Velma Hunt and Delma Richard; six grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Elton Jelks and Sabra Jelks, her husband, A.P. Gibson, brother, Charles Elton, and son, J. C. Ladd.
Graveside services were held Oct. 18 at Garden of Memories Cemetery in Metairie. Family and friends are invited to send their condolences to www.hcalexanderfuneralhome.com.
