Craig B. Parker, 60, entered into eternal rest on Oct. 9, 2011. He was the beloved husband of 20 years to Leslea Tapia-Parker, father of Chadwick Parker (wife Jasmine), Alexander Parker and Courtney Parker, and grandfather of Jaedyn Parker and Ethan Parker. He was a native of New Orleans and a resident of Destrehan for the past 13 years. He was a veteran of the United States Marines and will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
Services were held Oct. 12 at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church in Destrehan with Fr. Francis Burner officiating. Burial followed at a later date. Family and friends are invited to send their condolences to www.hcalexanderfuneralhome.com.

FEMA deadline passes with no new flood rates - 619 views
After indicating they would release new flood insurance rates by June 1 to be applied to local homes under the Biggert-Waters Act, the Federal Emergency Management Agency has said the release of that information will now be delayed.
