Wandling
Marlin Gene Wandling, 88, passed away on Sept. 29, 2011. He was a native of Litchfield, Ill. and resided in Luling for the past 45 years. He was the beloved husband of 64 years to Jean Marie Cooper Wandling, father of Nelda Christine Brescher (husband Edmond II) of Ponchatoula, Patricia Lyn Picard (husband Michael) of Luling, Aleta Marie Harmon (husband Mark) of Luling and the late Val Cooper Wandling; brother of Madalyn “Lyn” Stacey (husband Tom), grandfather of nine; great-grandfather of 10, and uncle of Cindy Stacey Carriere and Nancy Stacey.
He is also survived by other family members, friends, neighbors and co-workers.
He was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church in Luling and a charter member of the former Willowdale Country Club. Services were held at Holy Family Catholic Church in Luling on Oct. 3 with a Funeral Mass following. Interment was at St. Charles Mausoleum.
