Mennonite Church has craft sale, auction
PrintDES ALLEMANDS - The 24th Annual Pine Lake Camp Craft Sale and Auction will be hosted by the Des Allemands Mennonite Church on Oct. 1 from 8 a.m.-4 p.m. at St. Gertrude Catholic Church in Des Allemands. The sale will go from 8 a.m.-noon and the auction will take place from 1-4 p.m. Lunch will be available.

FEMA deadline passes with no new flood rates - 581 views
After indicating they would release new flood insurance rates by June 1 to be applied to local homes under the Biggert-Waters Act, the Federal Emergency Management Agency has said the release of that information will now be delayed.
