Battle for the Paddle arrives
Cook-off for charity is just days away-and you'r e invited
The United Way of St. Charles will hold their annual jambalaya and gumbo cook-off on Thur., Oct. 5 from 4 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at the West Bank Bridge Park in Luling.
Everyone is invited to attend the event, and for the affordable admission price of only $5, the savory tastes of unlimited jambalaya and gumbo along with the live music of “Reese” is sure to keep mouths watering and feet tapping.
Teams limited to four will battle it out for the 2006 title by stirring up the best jambalaya or gumbo.

Arrest made in connection with West Bank burglary - 2462 views
The St. Charles Parish Sheriff’s Office has arrested a 29-year-old Waggaman man they believe could be responsible for up to nine home burglaries that took place in Luling and Ama in the last month.
