Police searching river after person apparently jumps off bridge
Police are searching the Mississippi River for a person who apparently jumped off the Hale Boggs Bridge, according to the St. Charles Parish Sheriff’s Office.
Authorities received a call that someone had fallen into the river from the bridge around 1 p.m., according to Sgt. Dwayne LaGrange, Sheriff's Office spokesman.
A vehicle was also reported parked in the southbound lane of the bridge, he said.
