All-Star softball teams knock off competition in state tournament

After winning the state tournament, the St. Charles 14U All Stars will be traveling to Gulfport, Miss. representing Louisiana for the Babe Ruth Southwest Regional.
Team members are Megan Adams, Cassie Legendre, Sydney Matherne, Katie Brady, Mia Casanova, Erin Picou, Stephanie Chester, Bailee Kaplan, Marissa Bergeron, MaryBeth Landry, Caitlyn Robinson, Katie Becnel, Monica Knowles, Paulo Casanova, Paul Adams and Mike Knowles. Coach is Neil Legendre.
12U All Stars
The St. Charles 12U All-Star team captured the state crown and will now travel to Gulfport, Miss. in hopes of coming home with the Babe Ruth Southwest Regional championship. Molly Tassin was named MVP of the state tourney.
Team members are Madison Villa, Lexi Overman, Molly Tassin, Danielle Duplay, Bella Brocato, Mariah Allemand, Kayleigh Melancon, Kaitlyn Pastor, Lindsey Schexnaydre, Allyson Colomb, Allison Zoglio, Kaitlyn Dunn, Troy Melancon, Randall Tassin, Nick Brocato and Dan Duplay. Head Coach is Robert Colomb.
10U All Stars
The St. Charles 10U All-Star softball team went undefeated in the state tournament held at the West Bank Bridge Park on July 3. Pylar Zeringue was named state MVP. They are headed to the Babe Ruth Southwest Regionals in Gulfport, Miss. where they will attempt to bring home a second regional championship. They went undefeated at Regionals in 2010 in Magnolia, Ark.
Members are Aimee Sierra, Marissa Gilbert, Breanna Dominguez, Gina Escude, Marissa Allemand, Carlie Beard, Kara Steverson, Pylar Zeringue, Gia Zeringue, Kassidy Dunn, Korinne Kimble, Caroline Julian, Anna Faucheaux and Maggie Wise.Coaches are Jennifer Julian, Tommy Julian, Kristy Kimble and Kenny Kimble.
