Tennis carnival coming to West Bank park
The St. Charles Parish Parks and Recreation Department, USTA and local tennis clubs will be sponsoring a day of tennis instruction, giveaways and lunch for residents that join the USTA at the West Bank Bridge Park on July 23 from 9 a.m. to noon.
Those wishing to take part must bring their valid USTA member card or sign up for membership while at the park. This event is open to all residents but is especially for children 10 years of age and younger. USTA junior memberships for 10 year olds and younger is currently free.
While at the park, meet LSU tennis star and Federation Cup Player, Daysi Espinal. The Hahnville and Destrehan High School tennis players will also be on hand to demonstrate and instruct juniors in USTA QuickStart Tennis.
