Griffith
Hugh Franklin Griffith, 85, a retired grain inspector for the U. S. Department of Agriculture and a U. S. Navy veteran of World War II, passed away peacefully in his sleep on June 13, 2011 at the Ormond Nursing and Care Center in Destrehan. He had been married for 47 years to his late wife, Rosemarie Teutone Griffith.
He is survived by four children, Steven Franklin Griffith (wife Mary Elizabeth), Janet Marie Griffith, Gary Christopher Griffith (wife Katherine) and Gloria Anne Griffith; his sister, Dorothy Griffith Mart, (husband Frank), his sister-in-law, Joan Teutone Marchione (husband Louis), grandchildren, Steven F. Griffith Jr. (wife Neely) and Jason Franklin Griffith, three great-grandchildren, Jocelyn Paige Griffith, Jolie Abigail Griffith and Catherine Elise Griffith; and nieces and nephews and other loved ones.
He was preceded in death by two children, Eric Lawrence Griffith and Lorraine Marie Griffith, his parents, James Franklin and Josephine Cassaly Griffith, and his brother, Gerald James Griffith.
Services were held June 18 at H. C. Alexander Funeral Home in Norco with Fr. Daniel Bru officiating. Military honors will follow in the Chapel of Eternal Faith at the Garden of Memories Cemetery in Metairie.
