11-year-old carjacked on 4-wheeler
The St. Charles Parish Sheriff’s Office is searching for a man they say pushed an 11-year-old boy off of a four-wheeler before stealing it.
The boy was riding his four-wheeler in a field north of Hackberry Street in Luling shortly before 3 p.m. last Tuesday when he was approached by a black man, authorities say.
The man pulled the boy off of the vehicle and threw him down, according to Sgt. Dwayne LaGrange, Sheriff’s Office spokesman.
“The boy suffered bruises on the side of the face where he landed,” he said.
The thief fled on the four-wheeler, but the vehicle was later located on Canal Street.
LaGrange said that a witness saw a man driving a black four-door vehicle follow the four-wheeler away from the scene.
The suspect is described as a black male with short hair and gold teeth.
Anyone with any information regarding this incident is asked to contact the Sheriff’s Office at (985)783-1135 or (985)783-6807.
