Diane Marie Pierre Harris
Diane Marie Pierre Harris, 56, passed away on May 24, 2011 at Ochsner Hospital in Jefferson.
She was the daughter of Jewel Woodward Gray and the late Paul Pierre, step-daughter of Freddie Gray, wife of the late Ike Samuel Harris, sister of the late Paul D. Pierre and Jewel P. Gaines, niece of Brenda Lackins, Henri and Donald Reed, Debra Gray and Duddie, and devoted friend of Patricia Dufresne Havard. She is also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was a native of New Orleans and resident of Dunellen, N.J. and most recently of Boutte.
Relatives and friends of the family, also pastors, officers and members of Mount Airy Baptist Church and all neighboring churches were invited to attend the funeral at Mount Airy Baptist Church, in Boutte on May 30 with Rev. John Voltz, Pastor, officiating. Interment followed at Mount Airy Memorial Park Cemetery in Boutte. Robottom Mortuary was in charge of services.
