Don Joseph Sardenga Sr.
Don Joseph Sardenga Sr., 66, passed away on May 23, 2011 in Baton Rouge.
He was retired from Bunge Grain Elevator. He is survived by his wife of 41 years, Diane Ancale Sardenga, son, Don Joseph Sardenga Jr. (Wife Michelle), daughter, Lori Ann Sardenga, sisters, Vickie Sardenga, JoAnn Sardenga SaLyers (Husband Doug) and Mary Sardenga Falvey; six grandchildren: Brock, Ethan, Brandon, Brianna, Braeden and Tony Sardenga; his Godchild, Laine Campbell, and a number of nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Victor Louis Sardenga and Isabel Morales.
Services were held on May 25 at H.C. Alexander Funeral Home in Norco and at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church on May 26 with Fr. Bru officiating. Burial followed in the church mausoleum. Condolences can be sent at www.hcalexanderfuneralhome.com.

St. Pierre, along with eight other parish presidents and representatives from five other parishes, visited Washington, D.C. to talk to officials about the potential spike in local flood insurance premiums should large portions of the Biggert-Waters Act be allowed to take effect in October.
