Suspects are innocent until proved guilty in a court of law
Arrests
•Melissa A. O’Neal, 37, of 10282 River Road in St. Rose, was arrested on May 23 and charged with cruelty to juveniles (3 cts.).
•Mark M. Dawson Jr., 26, of 350 Davis Drive in Luling, was arrested on May 23 and charged with simple battery, simple robbery, criminal trespassing, aggravated assault (2 cts.) and unauthorized use of a moveable over $1,000.
•Jeanne E. Nouri, 46, of 231 River Point Drive in Destrehan, was arrested on May 21 and charged with D.W.I. and reckless operation.
•Walter Jones, 49, of 1323 Paul Fredrick St. in Luling, was arrested on May 20 and charged with D.W.I., suspended driver’s license and not having tail lamps.
•Lynda Bowman, of 498 Highway 628 in LaPlace, was arrested on May 26 and charged with 2nd degree cruelty to a juvenile.
•Jeremy L. Hill, 17, of 1121 Luling Estates Drive in Luling, was arrested on May 25 and charged with 2nd degree battery.
•Ernest O. Thompson, 17, of 1102 Kinler St. in Luling, was arrested on May 25 and charged with 2nd degree battery.
Theft
•A mud boat and a boat trailer, total value of $2,700, were stolen from 10387 LA 18 in Ama on May 23.
•A bicycle, total value of $294, was stolen from 229 Oak Lane in Luling on May 23.
•Four tires and rims were stolen off of a vehicle at 113 Savanna Drive in Luling on May 20.
•Assorted CDs, a CD case and a computer bag were stolen out of a vehicle at 342 Woodland Drive in Boutte on May 19.
•A generator and assorted lawn equipment, total value of $780, were stolen from 205 Turtlecreek Lane in St. Rose on May 24.
•Assorted copper wiring, total value of $3,000, was stolen from 400 Trailsway Drive in Hahnville on May 24.
•Assorted fishing poles, assorted jewelry and a flowered cloth print, total value of $250, were stolen out of a vehicle at 15701 LA 18 in Hahnville on May 24.
•A DS game, digital camera, iPod, safe and assorted video games, total value of $1,239, were stolen from 115 Magnolia Manor in Boutte on May 25.
•Assorted fishing equipment was stolen from 113 Clayton Drive in Norco on May 27.
•A bath tub, four dryers, a stove, a refrigerator, three washing machines, a hot water heater and ceramic tiles were stolen from 610 Paul Fredrick St. in Luling on May 30.
•A pair of binoculars, total value of $150, was stolen from 230 Mary St. in Norco on May 29.
•A radar detector and a dual 9" TV set with a DVD player, total value of $200, were stolen out of a vehicle at 516 Sixth St. in Norco on May 28.

FEMA deadline passes with no new flood rates - 609 views
After indicating they would release new flood insurance rates by June 1 to be applied to local homes under the Biggert-Waters Act, the Federal Emergency Management Agency has said the release of that information will now be delayed.
