Bernadette Grenner Martinez
Bernadette Grenner Martinez, 64, entered into eternal rest on May 18, 2011.
She was a native of New Orleans and a resident of Destrehan for the past 43 years. She was the beloved wife of the late Larry J. Martinez Sr., mother of Stacey M. Perret (Husband Lonnie), Vicky M. Cazentre (Husband Stephen), and Larry J. Martinez Jr. (Wife Lenni); daughter of the late Arthur Grenner and Pauline Salome Grenner, and grandmother of Lauren Angele Perret, Taylor Lynn Perret, Emma Therese Cazentre, Luke Stephen Cazentre and the late Andrew Paul Martinez.
She was retired from St. Charles Parish Sheriff's Office, an honorable member of the East St. Charles Fire Department, a member of St. Vincent de Paul Society and the Fraternal Order of Police. The Martinez family would like to express special thanks to Drs. Mann and Jayakrishnan and the entire St. Charles ICU Staff for the loving care given to their mother. Relatives and friends were invited to funeral services on May 21 at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church in Destrehan.
A Funeral Mass was celebrated with interment following in St. Charles Borromeo Mausoleum.
