Alcida Foret Tassin, 90, of Luling, passed away on May 19, 2011 at her home.

She was the beloved wife of the late Elson (Pim) Tassin Sr., the loving mother of Elson J. Tassin Jr. and Bryant J. Tassin, mother-in-law of Ruth Ann Sanders Tassin and Jill Tregre Tassin. She was the daughter of the late Hypolite Foret and Veleda Autin Foret, grandmother of Jay Tassin, Nicole Tassin Cedotal, Kristy Tassin Austin and Melissa Tassin Boudreaux; great-grandmother of Kirsten Tassin, Collin Cedotal, Aidan Cedotal and Lucas Austin; sister of Eula Foret Champagne, and the late Simon Foret, Merrill Foret, Alcide Foret and Hubby Foret.


She was a parishioner of St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church in Luling. Relatives and friends of the family were invited to attend services at St. Anthony where Mass of Christian Burial was be held. Burial followed at St. Charles Cemetery.
