All-Star team places second in international tournament

The St. Charles Parish 13-14 boys All-Star basketball team finished as International runners-up.

Team members are: (Bottom row, L to R) Rickey Preston and Gregory Farria. (Top row, L to R) Coach Roy Williams, Korian Reynaud, Clifton Adams, Tyron Clark, Todge Scott, Awaman Kenner, Jason Perez, Carlos Watkins, Brandon Scott and coach Calvin Kenner Jr. (Not pictured) Coach Ron Bullock. The team also had three players that were named All-Americans, including Todge Scott, Awaman Kenner and Jason Perez.

Former St. Charles Parish District Attorney Harry Morel Jr., who on Wednesday was accused of preying on more than 20 women, pleaded guilty to obstruction of justice in federal court.

The obstruction charge stems from allegations that Morel harassed a grand jury witness and attempted to destroy evidence against him.
