The Vieux Carre Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution presented the Good Citizenship Award to Jonathan Snyder, a DHS senior, for displaying the qualities of honor, service, courage, leadership and patriotism.

Snyder is the president of Mu Alpha Theta, convention coordinator for Beta Club and a Kick Off Mentor. He has gone on several mission trips to India, South Africa, Jamaica, Mexico and Haiti. For his senior project, he raised money to build a water well in Haiti and had enough money to give to a local school to fund a lunch program for a year.
