Suspects are innocent until proved guilty in a court of law
Arrests
•Christopher Watson, 24, of 336 Cindy Drive in Westwego, was arrested on May 2 and charged with theft over $500.
•Ronald Hardy, 33, of 1013 Paul Fredrick St. in Luling, was arrested on May 2 and charged with burglary of a movable.
Rodney Payne, 51, of 112 First St. in Boutte, was arrested on May 3 and charged with aggravated assault.
•Roosevelt Ingram, 32, of 132 Norman St. in Des Allemands, was arrested on May 3 and charged with possession of a stolen auto over $500 and failure to return from work release.
•Shannon M. McFall, 44, of 116 Gretchen Court in Montz, was arrested on April 26 and charged with aggravated battery.
•Brent Rowe, 22, of 102 Union Drive in Hahnville, was arrested on May 6 and charged with D.W.I.

•Shawna R. Bethancourt, 47, of 242 E. 14th St. in Edgard, was arrested on May 5 and charged with aggravated battery.
•Brent E. White, 46, of 153 Kennedy St. in Ama, was arrested on May 6 and charged with theft over $500.
•Ursula M. Ingram, 47, of 17955 River Road in Killona, was arrested on May 8 and charged with D.W.I., not driving in a single lane of traffic, suspended driver’s license and open container.
Theft
•An air conditioning unit and 106 feet of copper, total value of $3,206, were stolen from 303 Alexander St. in Boutte on May 3.
•An iPod, total value of $350, was stolen from 170 Road Runner Lane in Destrehan on May 3.
•An iPhone, purse and debit card, total value of $250, were stolen from 224 Riverwood in St. Rose on May 3.
•An electric stove, total value of $500, was stolen from 284 Meadows Drive in Destrehan on May 2.
•A GPS and miscellaneous jewelry of unknown value was stolen from 32 River Park Drive in Hahnville on May 2.
•A Suzuki motorcycle, total value of $13,000, was stolen from 602 Giacomo St. in Norco on May 5.
•A 40” TV and a GPS, total value of $550, were stolen from 320 Riverwood Drive in St. Rose on May 5.

Washington, D.C. – Today, Congressman Cedric Richmond (LA-02), along with Congresswoman Maxine Waters (CA-43), introduced The Flood Insurance Implementation Reform Act of 2013. This bipartisan legislation aims to improve the National Flood Insurance Program by ensuring that the implementation of new rates do not burden homeowners or slow the recovery of the nation's housing market.
