Gymnast racks up awards at state meet

Katie Kunkel, a Level 4 gymnast for Elmwood gymnastics and a student at Mimosa Park Elementary, recently competed in the Louisiana State Gymnastics Meet on April 3 in Baton Rouge.

Kunkel placed 1st on Beam, 2nd on Vault, 3rd on bars, 9th on Floor  and 3rd in the All Around in her age group of Level 4-C. 

She recently competed at the Edgewater Classic Gymnastics Meet in Panama City Beach Florida where she  placed 3rd on both Beam and Vault and 4th place in the All Around and on Floor.
