Roussel

Octave “T-Boy” Roussel Jr., 76, passed away on March 22, 2011 at his residence. He was retired from Shell Chemical.

He is survived by his children: Vanessa A. Roussel, Jan R. Nelson (husband Brian), Gwendolyn T. Roussel, Faye Lynne Perez (husband Ventura Frank) and Keith M. Roussel (wife Julie); stepson, Aaron Lions (wife Bridget), three sisters: Janet Dornier, Ruth Minvielle and Nancy Stein; 10 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Elmer Ann Marie Hymel Roussel, parents, Octave Thomas Roussel Sr. and Ella Marie Boudreaux, one son, Chris T. Roussel Sr., and five siblings: Whitney Roussel, Ethel Martin, Melvin “Tag” Roussel, Helen Newman, Idola Hoover and Emily Thoms.

Services were held at Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church on March 26 with Fr. Terry Becnel officiating. Burial followed at St. Charles Borromeo Mausoleum in Destrehan. H.C. Alexander Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
