Controlling the weather
Brooke Savoie's 5th grade science class at Lakewood Elementary School is studying Earth’s climate and weather.

As part of their studies, students simulated warm and cold fronts through the use of role playing.

The students assumed the roles of warm and cold air masses, as well as various types of weather associated with warm and cold fronts, by holding signs to show what weather force they represented.

Then, they acted out different weather events.

Ashley Perez, Taylor Boone and Audrey Finklea are pictured displaying the roles of the warm front.
