Edith Carrere Folse, 77, a native of Houma and resident of Des Allemands, died on March 12, 2011.

She is survived by her daughters, Gay-Lynn Folse and Laura F. LeBlanc (husband Steve), and her sister, Gladys Mayer. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Folse, parents, Justillian and Laura Carrere, and brother, Murphy J. Carrere.

Funeral services were held at St. Gertrude Catholic Church with burial in the church cemetery. Falgout Funeral Homes of Raceland was in charge of arrangements.
