Vass
Myra Madere Vass joined her Lord and Savior on March 11, 2011 in Houston, Texas. She was a native of Hahnville and a 1951 graduate of Hahnville High School.
She will be missed by her six children: Patti Babineaux Chigoy (husband Thomas), Ricki Babineaux, Lauri Babineaux Stuart (husband Thomas), Wesley Babineaux (wife Mary Falgout), Geralyn Babineaux Hosmer (husband Chris) and Darren Babineaux; 14 grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and three siblings: Anna Russell, Donald Arnold and Dean Arnold. She was the wife of the late Eldon Vass by second marriage and the late Joseph Babineaux by first marriage.
She was preceded in death by her father, Wilton Madere, mother, Beatrice Gourgues Arnold, and step-father, Wesley E. Arnold.
A Funeral Mass was held on March 16 at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church in Destrehan with interment following in St. Charles Borromeo Mausoleum. Condolences may be offered at www.hcalexanderfuneralhome.com.
