Willard J. Bergeron Sr.
Willard J. Bergeron Sr., 92, U.S. Army veteran of World War II, passed away on Feb. 18, 2011.
He was the husband of Marie Champagne Bergeron for 68 years, son of the late Edmond Bergeron and Annette Roger Bergeron, father of Myra Sharp (husband Richard), Patrick Bergeron (wife Glenda), Willard Bergeron Jr. (wife Terry), Renee Sesser (husband Larry), Timothy Bergeron (wife Debbie), Gregory Bergeron (wife Bebe), Philip Bergeron (wife Marcia), Francis Bergeron (wife Gail), Monica VanZandt (husband Dennis), and Leonard Bergeron (wife Angela); grandfather of 25 and great-grandfather of 22.
He had worked at the Shell Oil Company in Norco and retired from USAMEX Fertilizer in St. Rose.
Services were held on Feb. 21 at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church in Destrehan with Fr. Harry Bugler officiating. Military honors followed in the St. Charles Borromeo Mausoleum. Family and friends can offer condolences at www.hcalexanderfuneralhome.com.
