He was the beloved husband of the late Elma Lirette Griffin, father of Gerald Griffin, Ellis Griffin Jr., Donald Griffin, Irma Vicknair, Dolores Gassen, Audrey Breaux, Mary LeBlanc, Phyllis Breaux, Annette Gray and the late Dick Griffin; son of the late Telemaque “Macko” Griffin and Josephine Rodrigue Griffin, brother of Horace Griffin, Hebert Griffin and the late Alexander Griffin, Clifton Griffin, Theresa Griffin, Evelina Rodrigue and Shirley Griffin; grandfather of 21, great-grandfather of 25 and great-great-grandfather of one.

He was preceded in death by one grandchild. He was a native of Lafourche Parish and resident of Boutte.

A Mass of Christian Burial was held on Jan. 31 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Paradis with interment following in St. Mary Cemetery of Raceland. Falgout Funeral Homes was in charge of arrangements.
