Suspects are innocent until proved guilty in a court of law
Arrests
•Stanley Robinson, 17, of 1005 Kinler St. in Luling, was arrested on Jan. 18 and charged with possession of Marijuana, disturbing the peace and entry/remaining after forbidden.
•Bobby R. Perniciaro, 35, of 30 Thomas School Road in Lumberton, Miss., was arrested on Jan. 13 and charged with obtaining a SCH II CDS to wit Methadone (4 cts.), obtaining a SCH II CDS to wit Oxycodone (2 cts.), obtaining a SCH II CDS to wit Hydrocodone, and obtaining a SCH IV CDS to wite Alprazolam.
•Corey D. Bailey, 40, of 725 Vans Lane in New Sarpy, was arrested on Jan. 15 and charged with possession of Hydrocodone.
•Chanel A. Robertson, 38, of 301 Homewood Place in Reserve, was arrested on Jan. 15 and charged with possession of Hydrocodone.
•Roy Donell Williams III, 37, of 52 Duffy St. in Waggaman, was arrested on Jan. 13 and charged with possession with intent SCHI - Heroin and possession of SCH II - Cocaine.
•Leroy Grover Jr., 44, of 149 J.B. Green Road in Des Allemands, was arrested on Jan. 6 and charged with theft over $500.
•Ron J. Matherne, 37, of 817 S. Fashion Blvd. in Hahnville, was arrested on Jan. 16 and charged with D.W.I. and reckless operation.
•William M. Brown, 23, of 704 Melody Drive in Metairie, was arrested on Jan. 15 and charged with D.W.I. and not driving in a single lane of traffic.
•Lindsey Von Aspen, 22, of 107 Dees Lane in Luling, was arrested on Jan. 17 and charged with D.W.I., improper control of vehicle, license not kept on self, suspended driver’s license and no liability insurance.
Theft
•A 2006 Yamaha Motorcycle, total value of $2,850, was stolen from 232 Joe Louis Lane in Hahnville on Jan. 18.
•A cell phone, total value of $100, was stolen from 10800 River Road in St. Rose on Jan. 16.
•An iPhone, total value of $500, was stolen from 14902 LA 48 in Norco on Jan. 15.
•Two brass boat props and clothing detergent, total value of $205, were stolen from 100 Pelican St. in Destrehan on Jan. 15.
•A video projector, mp3 player, XBox gaming console, XBox controllers, an XBox game and two prescription medications were stolen from 420 Giacomo St. in Norco on Jan. 16.
•Assorted tools were stolen from 317 Ormond Meadows Drive in Destrehan on Jan. 17.
•Assorted tools were stolen from 1102B Kinler St. in Boutte on Jan. 17.

Legislators vow to help parish fight huge insurance increases - 557 views
Parish President V.J. St. Pierre, along with eight other parish presidents and representatives from five other parishes, visited Washington, D.C. to talk to officials about the potential spike in local flood insurance premiums should large portions of the Biggert-Waters Act be allowed to take effect in October.
