DARE to be above drugs
In December, 5th grade students and parents at Lakewood Elementary attended DARE Graduation.

Over several weeks, students learned about the harmful effects of drugs.

Students used this knowledge to write an essay, which was a requirement for graduation.

One student's essay was chosen as the best from each homeroom.

Pictured are two of these winners, Cameron Matthews of Jessica Fletcher's homeroom and Hayden Bordelon of Shannon Pitchford's homeroom.
