Center looking to put students to work with local businesses
The St. Charles Parish Satellite Center is looking for local businesses and industries interested in serving as a host for job shadowing and/or internships (paid or unpaid) for its students.
Jobs are needed in the following professions:
·WebQuil (Information Technology/Web Design),
·Digital Media,
·Television Broadcasting,
·Lodging and Tourism Management,
·Survey of Human Interaction (Social Work/ Counseling, Human Services),
·Patient Care,
·Health Career Exploration,
·Culinary Arts,

Legislators vow to help parish fight huge insurance increases - 521 views
Parish President V.J. St. Pierre, along with eight other parish presidents and representatives from five other parishes, visited Washington, D.C. to talk to officials about the potential spike in local flood insurance premiums should large portions of the Biggert-Waters Act be allowed to take effect in October.
