She was the beloved wife of the late Richard Cologne Sr., mother of: Richard Cologne Jr. (wife Paula), Taylor Cologne (partner Elisa), Donna Leininger (husband Stephen), Kem Matherne (husband Marlon); daughter of the late William and Lydia B. Ford, sister of: William “Bill” Ford, Richard Ford, Myrtle Tastet, Mary Anne Vanacor, Marion Blanchard and Catherine Fonseca; grandmother of: Tiffany and Jamie Cologne, Jimmy and Cody Aucoin, Kayla Matherne Meissner and Macie Matherne; great-grandmother of: Cassie Burk, Cody Aucoin Jr., Taylor Aucoin and Natalie Grace Aucoin. She was a native of Raceland and resident of Des Allemands. She was a parishioner of St. Gertrude Catholic Church, member of the Ladies Altar Society and a Eucharistic minister.
A Mass of Christian Burial was held on Dec. 9 at St. Gertrude Catholic Church with interment at St. Mary Cemetery in Raceland. Falgout Funeral Homes was in charge of arrangements.

FEMA deadline passes with no new flood rates - 616 views
After indicating they would release new flood insurance rates by June 1 to be applied to local homes under the Biggert-Waters Act, the Federal Emergency Management Agency has said the release of that information will now be delayed.
