Charles J. Matherne, 67, passed away on Dec. 6, 2010 in Houma.

He was the beloved husband of Mary Ann Terrebonne Matherne, father of Toby Matherne (wife Joann), Rafe Matherne (wife Wendy), Dr. Heath Matherne (wife Celeste), Gina Chiasson (husband Guy) and Tara Dore’ (husband Dean); son of the late Morris Matherne Sr. and Alta Hogan Matherne, brother of Morris “Bucky” Matherne Jr., Roy Hogan, Lynn “Bozo” Hogan, Betty Dufrene, Geraldine Mahan, Beatrice Barbier, Rosalie Beadle, Sandra Yokum, Deborah Daigle and the late Faye Powell; grandfather of 13 and step-grandfather of four. He was a native of Des Allemands and resident of Lockport. A Mass of Christian Burial was held at Holy Savior Catholic Church in Lockport on Dec. 10 with Falgout Funeral Homes in charge of arrangements. In lieu of flowers, Masses are preferred.
