A St. Rose convenience store was robbed at gunpoint early Friday morning, and police are still searching for the robber.

Authorities say that the man entered the store before 2 a.m. and approached the counter with a handgun. He demanded that two employees empty their cash registers into a bag. The robber then fled the scene and both employees escaped unharmed.

The employees told police that the man was wearing black pants, a black jacket and a ski mask that covered his face. They described him as being a black male between 5’5” to 5’8” and weighing between 150 to 180 pounds.

Anyone with information on the incident is asked to call St. Charles Det. Brad Walsh at (985)783-1355 or (985)783-6807.
