Destrehan - Position LB
Wildcat senior linebacker Tarquin Kenner has had an illustrous career at Destrehan, and has started for the last three years for the squad.
Kenner finished up his senior season with 74 total tackles, which included 31 solo tackles and 43 assists. Kenner also had four tackles for loss, one sack, two caused fumbles, four fumble recoveries and two blocked kicks.
Kenner was named to the All-District team at linebacker.
“TQ was a three-year starter at linebacker and he was our defensive captain,” Destrehan head coach Chris Stroud said. “He was the heart and soul of both the weight room and the locker room.”
Kenner’s desire was evident when his team needed him to shift to running back on short-yardage situations. The big back picked up 101 yards on 18 carries.
“In the last three games of the season, TQ picked up 11 first downs on 3rd and short and 4th and short,” Stroud added.
