Local girl places 3rd in NOCCA vocal contest
Vivian Buchanan, a resident of St. Rose, recently placed 3rd in the high school women category of the annual National Association of Teachers of Singing Southern Regional Competition held at Southeastern Louisiana University.

The National Association of Teachers of Singing encourages the highest standards of the vocal art and ethical principles in the teaching of singing; and promotes vocal education and research at all levels.
