A St. Rose woman was arrested on Monday after allegedly entering another woman’s house and threatening her with a broomstick.

Angela M. Baker, 51, of 700 Mockingbird Lane, was charged with aggravated burglary, aggravated assault and harassing phone calls.

Baker supposedly broke in to the residence of another woman armed with a broomstick because she and the homeowner were allegedly dating the same man, according to Capt. Pat Yoes with the St. Charles Parish Sheriff’s Office.

“They were fighting over a guy,” he said.
He said that the supposed harassing phone calls were also connected to the conflict over a man.
