St. Rose man arrested for child porn
A 20-year-old St. Rose man was arrested for possessing more than 160 videos and images of explicit files of children on his computer, according to the Louisiana State Police.
Joseph Carroll, of 223 Eisenhower St., was arrested last week after detectives received information that he was downloading child pornography, authorities said. The St. Charles Parish Sheriff’s Office then executed a warrant at Carroll’s residence.
While searching his home, detectives located a computer which revealed at least 162 videos and images showing the sexual exploitation of young children, according to the State Police.
Carroll was arrested and booked at the Nelson Coleman Correctional Center. His bond was set at $30,000.

Legislators vow to help parish fight huge insurance increases - 557 views
Parish President V.J. St. Pierre, along with eight other parish presidents and representatives from five other parishes, visited Washington, D.C. to talk to officials about the potential spike in local flood insurance premiums should large portions of the Biggert-Waters Act be allowed to take effect in October.
