United Way "Ride United" a success

Over 150 bikers participated in the RIDE UNITED Poker Run hosted by United Way of St. Charles on Saturday, September 25, 2010.

RIDE UNITED participants started the poker run at the United Way of St. Charles office in Luling and visited five other stops in the metropolitan area including- 61 Blues Highway, The Pit Stop, Big Al's, Zam's Airboat Tours and Z's Spot.  The participants ended the poker run at the Alligator Festival in St. Charles Parish.


Celeste Saltalamachia had the best poker hand with four-of-a-kind and won $300.  Dawn Lemoine had the second best hand with a full-house and won $150.  The worst hand went to Lori Barrios who won $50.  Participants also had opportunities to win 50/50 and raffle prizes.


United Way of St. Charles would like to thank the St. Charles Parish Rotary Club, all of its sponsors and volunteers who helped make this event a success.
