Arrests
•Michael Simmons, 22, of 121 Lakewood in Luling, was arrested on Aug. 17 and charged with theft under $300 and simple robbery.
•Derric Reed, 37, of 500 Mockingbird Lane in St. Rose, was arrested on Aug. 16 and charged with D.W.I. and reckless operation of a motor vehicle.
•Robert Williams, of 404 W. Lawson St. in Destrehan, was arrested on Aug. 14 and charged with D.W.I., reckless operation and open alcohol container in vehicle.
•Darin Green, of 138 First St. in St. Rose, was arrested on Aug. 13 and charged with D.W.I., reckless operation of a motor vehicle and driver not licensed.
•Gary N. Shelton, 42, of 646 Silver Lane in Brookhaven, Miss., was arrested on Aug. 13 and charged with D.W.I. and open container.
•David Coyle of 86 Riverview Drive in St. Rose was arrested on Aug. 19 and charged with D.W.I., improper control of vehicle and driver not licensed.
Theft
•Copper A/C coils from two air conditioning units, total value of $20,000, were stolen from 295 I-310 Service Road in St. Rose on Aug. 16.
•A purse, Sam’s Club card, Capital One debit card and $61 were stolen from a vehicle at 14902 River Road in Norco on Aug. 13.
•$140 was stolen from a purse at 204 West Hoover St. in New Sarpy on Aug. 14.
•A weed eater, hedge trimmer, chainsaw and blower, total value of $630, were stolen from a shed at 516 Steve St. in St. Rose on Aug. 15.
•A water pump, six slicker suits and engine oil, total value of $1,456, were stolen from CC Road in Montz on Aug. 13.
•A bicycle, fishing poles and reels, total value of $455, were stolen from 707 Kinler St. in Luling on Aug. 13.
•An aluminum condensor coil from an AC unit, total value of $8,000, was stolen from 10100 River Road in St. Rose on Aug. 19.
•A bicycle, total value of $150, was stolen from 100 Hale St. in Paradis on Aug. 19.
•A 2002 dirt bike, a 2006 dirt bike, a 1990 dirt bike and a 2003 dirt bike, total value of $4,210, were stolen from a shed at 107 Arlington St. in Montz on Aug. 19.
•Five grass trimmers, bolt cutters, a drill bit set, rechargable batteries, a power tool set, a chainsaw, a volt meter, a battery charger and money from a vending machine were stolen from 131 Manor Lane in Luling on Aug. 19.
•Copper coils, total value of $1,000, were stolen from an AC unit at 10868 River Road in St. Rose on Aug. 18.
•Copper coils were stolen off of three AC units at 10982 LA 48 in St. Rose on Aug. 18.

Over the past four months, those who often travel the elevated portions of I-10 and I-310 in St. Charles Parish have noticed a lack of state troopers on the interstate.
