Man charged with rape of adopted children
A 51-year-old Wisconsin man has been charged with three counts of aggravated rape after molesting three young children he adopted, according to the St. Charles Parish Sheriff’s Office.
Authorities say that the man, whose name is being withheld to prevent identification of the victims, abused the children over a 10-year period. Though the man lives in Wisconsin, the molestation occurred while he and the children lived in St. Charles Parish.
The girls were all under the age of 12 years old when they were abused, authorities said.
The girls’ mother filed a complaint with the Sheriff’s Office, which led to the investigation and a warrant being issued for the man’s arrest.
He is being held at the Nelson Coleman Correctional Center under a $900,000 bond set by District Judge Robert Chaisson.
