5-year-old wins pumpkin contest
Kyle Doucet won the pumpkin growing contest at the German Coast Farmers’ Market.

Kyle, 5, is the son of Lacey Z. and Patrick Doucet of Luling. Kyle and his Poppa Marion Zeringue of Ama grew this pumpkin from seeds given at the Farmers’ Market.

Each week Kyle and Poppa Marion traveled via golf cart to the row they planted with the pumpkin seeds.

Kyle and Poppa Marion will try once again to grow the biggest pumpkin for the Farmers Market.
