Arrests
•William B. Powe Jr., 56, of 612 Oak St. in Norco, was arrested on May 11 and charged with registration of a sex offender (given false information).
•Terry Davis, 51, of 2626 St. Philip St. in New Orleans, was arrested on May 10 and charged with terrorizing after allegedly making a threatening statement toward a business.
•Reyon Albert, 36, of 49 Rosa St. in Waggaman, was arrested on May 7 and charged with identity theft over $1,000.
•Brian A. Pitkin, 51, of 164 Crawford St. in Biloxi, was arrested on May 7 and charged with monetary instrument abuse.
•Kerbert C. Vaughn, 31, of 4020 S. Windmere in Harvey, was arrested on May 8 and charged with D.W.I. and driving roadway lane of traffic.
•Edwin F. Trauth III, 57, of 220 Marcia Drive in Luling, was arrested on May 7 and charged with D.W.I., suspended driver’s license and reckless operation.
•Jose J. Medina, 47, of 20754 Hwy. 1 in Golden Meadow, was arrested on May 9 and charged with D.W.I., driver not licensed and driving roadway lane of traffic.
•Stephen G. Holcomb, 25, of 192 E. 97th St. in Cut Off, was arrested on May 8 and charged with D.W.I. and improper control of vehicle.
•Lloyd James J. Burrell, 35, of 1353 Maplewood Drive in Harvey, was arrested on May 9 and charged with D.W.I., open container and reckless operation.
•Jeil Teague Jr., 31, of 215 W. 1st St. in Reserve, was arrested on May 6 and charged with theft of goods over $500 and FUG/St. John.
•Jesus Losoya Sosa, 37, of 12225 LA 18 in Luling, was arrested on April 29 and charged with D.W.I. (2nd offense), vehicle must use light lamp, public bribary and fugitive from other agency.
Theft
•Assorted purses, clothing, jewelry and a 26” TV were stolen from 230 Vidal St. in Ama on May 8.
•An iPhone, total value of $250, was stolen from 12125 U.S. 90 in Luling on May 8.
•A cell phone and a purse containing assorted ID cards were stolen out of a shopping cart from 13001 U.S. 90 in Luling on May 7.
•A 2006 Suzuki Motorcycle, total value of $14,000, was stolen from 12501 River Road in Luling on May 7.
•An X-Box 360 gaming system, assorted X-Box games, a Wii gaming system, two 12-guage shot guns and $50 in U.S. currency were stolen from 30 Stanton Hall Drive in Destrehan on May 7.
•Four vehicle rims and tires, total value of $3,000, were stolen from 597 Cypress Drive in Luling on May 6.
•A bicycle, total value of $300, was stolen from 428 Sharon Ave. in Boutte on May 6.
•A game system, total value of $300, was stolen from 706 Paul Fredrick in Luling on April 29.
•A mini battery-powered bike, total value of $300, was stolen from 314 River Oaks Drive in Destrehan on April 29.
•A portable satelite radio and headphones, total value of $300, were stolen from 114 Seven Oaks Court in Destrehan on April 29.

Vitter in Bayou Gauche to speak about action on flood insurance rate hikes - 1172 views
Little more than a week after officials from 14 parishes took a trip to Washington, D.C. to lobby against potential flood insurance rate hikes, some of those same officials convened with Sen. David Vitter at the home of a Bayou Gauche couple.
