Local gospel group to perform at Jazz Fest
St. Charles Parish’s own Gospel Inspirations of Boutte will be performing once again at the New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Festival.

The 14-member group, complete with a brass section, will perform on Friday, April 30 at 5:45 p.m. under the gospel tent.

The group was formed in 1975 as part of the Mt. Zion Baptist Church choir with only five members.

The group also performs regularly at various concerts throughout the New Orleans and Houma area and even travels as far as Texas sometimes.
