St. Charles Parish sales tax holiday

Shoppers will save 5 cents in local taxes for every dollar spent on purchases up to $2,500.
The abatement will apply to the first $2,500 on each item purchased and only consumer purchases will qualify for the holiday. Contractor purchases, vehicles, prepared meals from restaurants or fast food establishments, leases or rentals of tangible personal property are not included.
Shoppers can also get a reduction on items placed or removed from lay-away during the tax holiday.
