Youth teams capture championships and take home the hardware.

St. Charles Cobras

The St. Charles Cobras captured first place in the Northshore Slam Tournament. Team members are Hunter LeBlanc, Collin Oubre, Lloyd Landry V, Josh Nunez, Beau Landry, Michael Benton, Austin Perrin, Eli Perrier, Briceson Harrell, Dane Wise, Logan Robert, Austin Rice, Coach Richard Oubre, Coach Joe Nunez, Coach Willie Wise.

Lockport Bayou Thunder

The Lockport Bayou Thunder took 2nd place on March 7th in Luling's Opening Day Tourney. The team also placed 2nd on Feb. 28 in Walker's Mets Slug Fest. team members are Seth Dufrene, Colby Mair, Rett Ougel, Payton Keller, Josh Hebert, Tyler Ougel, Logan Alleman, Brader Dufrene, Nick McClendon, Brady Morvant, and Cameron Gautreaux, and coaches Artie, Shawn, Kevin and Hap.

Hahnville 5-6 Basketball team

The Hahnville’s 5-6 year old basketball team won the championship this past weekend.
Team members are Cameron Brown, Ryley Boyne, Andrew Kessler IV, Jordan Cannon, Nicholas Brocato, Claudell Harris Jr., Jeremy Howat and Coach Claudell Harris

St. Charles 9-10 Girls All Star team

The St. Charles Parish 9-10 Girls All Star team were declared Region 1 champions with a 43-23 win over Terrebonne at Landry Gym in Hahnville.  The girls also were first place winners in the Terrebonne, Denham Springs, and JPRD East Invitational Tournaments.

Former Hahnville Volunteer Fire Department Chief Arthur Tregre has returned home after being hospitalized since last August following a head-on collision with St. Charles Parish Sheriff’s Deputy Jeff Watson, who died in the accident.
