Norco man booked with aggravated rape

Name of subject and victim being withheld to protect identity

A Norco man was arrested and charged with aggravated rape after he allegedly inappropriately fondled his 5 year-old daughter on July 7. The suspect reportedly has a history of attempting this type of crime against juveniles in the past.

According to the St. Charles Parish Sheriff's Office, the 5 year-old victim reported the inappropriate behavior to her mother, who then notified authorities. The young victim was then questioned by authorities regarding the incident.
"We intend to investigate this incident to the fullest," said Sgt. Dwayne LeGrange of the St. Charles Parish Sheriff's Office. "We take this type of crime very seriously and will do all we can to prevent these incidents in the future," he concluded.

At the time of press, the suspect was being held without bond.
