Man arrested for rape of family members in the 80s
A 55-year-old Wisconsin man was arrested last week and extradited to St. Charles Parish after authorities learned that he allegedly raped two family members during the 1980s.
The rapes occurred during a five-year span between 1984-89. James Connor, of 2227 S. Losey Blvd. in Lacrose, lived in St. Charles Parish during the years in question.
“Information was recently disclosed and an investigation was performed,” Yoes said. “He (Connor) was then arrested and extradited here.”
Conner is charged with two counts of aggravated rape. He is being held on a $150,000 bond set by Judge Robert Chiasson. The maximum sentence for aggravated rape is life imprisonment without the benefit of parole, probation or suspension of sentence.
