Residents in the Luling area that have answered door-to-door surveys are helping St. Charles Parish in its quest to apply for a Louisiana Community Development Block Grant that would be used to rehabilitate the sewer system.

The door-to-door surveys, which began last week, are being taken by Bordelon, Foreman and Associates, who have been hired by the parish to prepare the necessary documentation for the grant. Survey questions include household income levels as well as the number of residents living in the home.

The grant, which will be applied for next year, would provide for the inspection and rehab of some sewer lines in the Luling area.
