School nurses work with school faculty

LULING - Every year the St Charles Parish School Nurses, in coordination with Specialists from hospitals in our area, start the new school year by in servicing the faculty and staff members on medication administration and special procedures for our medically fragile students. Teachers, faculty members, paraprofessionals and bus drivers, who may teach or be assigned to these students, participated in the trainings.

These teachings include emergency response for seizures, anaphylactic reactions, respiratory difficulties and diabetic emergencies.
